JOB TITLE: Ad-Hoc Volunteering

PURPOSE: By joining us as an ad-hoc volunteer, you can plan your volunteer work according to your availability, offering a large degree of flexibility.

REQUIREMENTS:

• No specialised skills are required. Looking for individuals with good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Fully vaccinated individuals.
• Minimum age of 16 for volunteer work at Bishan Home.

TRAINING:

• No training is required.

COMMITMENT:

• Flexible commitment period, with no minimum length of service.

ADDITIONAL NOTE:

• VIA certification is given to students, upon request.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:

1. Craft Ambassador - Crafting Sessions

   • Assist with crafting sessions, held weekly at Lions Befrienders - Ghim Moh (every Tuesday) and Bishan Home (every Friday).
   • Interact with differently-abled crafters and seniors at risk of social isolation.

2. Booth Ambassador - Run Booths

   • Advocate for Social Gifting by running booths during events.
   • Increase awareness of our crafters’ plight and promote their craftwork.

3. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Ambassador - Company Programme

   • For companies who wish to partake in group volunteering with Social Gifting.
   • Involves two phases: crafting with beneficiaries & helping to sell their craftwork.
